Stories behind the Scenes

Here are a few key projects that highlight the challenges we encountered during the renovation process —and the creative solutions we implemented.

Champ de Mars

This project quickly became one of our favorites—not just for the transformation itself, but for the trust the owners placed in our vision. At first glance, the space was a maze of cramped, disconnected rooms that were dark and uninviting. But what we saw was potential: ten stunning windows pouring in natural light, facing a beautiful view. By reimagining the layout, we opened up the living areas to bask in that light, while repositioning the more private spaces to overlook a quiet courtyard. It was a leap of faith that paid off beautifully, turning a fragmented space into a stunning, light-filled Parisian home. The icing on the cake was curating the great art collection that reflects this client's wonderful sense of style and joie de vivre.

Ile Saint Louis

When we first stepped into the apartment on Île Saint-Louis, it felt dim and chilly—but the soul of the 17th century was unmistakable, and we were instantly captivated. A small tapestry painting caught our eye and sparked our imagination; its rich textures and muted tones became the guiding thread for the entire decor. From that moment on, the space began to tell a new story—one rooted in history, but reimagined with warmth and character.  It's funny how art often acts as the spark that ignites our vision, revealing possibilities we hadn’t yet imagined.

Saint Germain

This stunning apartment in the heart of Saint-Germain had undergone a major renovation two decades earlier, leaving behind some exquisite details we knew had to stay—like the original hardware and intricate moldings. But the overall aesthetic was too lavish and glitzy for our clients, who envisioned something more refined. They asked us to pare it down, creating a space that felt effortlessly elegant and quietly luxurious, while still being warm and functional enough for their large family to truly live in.  We loved this apartment so much that we joked with our client, when he first saw the finished product, that we were part of the package and there to stay!

Syrah

When the contractor emphatically stated that it was 'impossible' to convert this one-bedroom into a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment, that word lit a fire—and watching the impossible become possible is now one of my proudest memories. We knocked down a wall, opened up the kitchen to the living and dining areas, and navigated around load-bearing walls to create a beautiful two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a charming view of the Eiffel Tower. And the pièce de résistance? A cleverly tucked-away office right in the front hall. In France, many things seem impossible—until suddenly, they’re not!

Avenue Bosquet

Every time I look back at the “before” photos of this apartment, it puts a smile on my face —as one of those projects where the transformation was as joyful as it was dramatic. The space had been left to decay for years and was in truly rough condition. But tucked away on the ceiling, we discovered a charming remnant of old toile wallpaper—a quiet, beautiful clue that the apartment had once been cherished. That single detail became our muse, inspiring the wallpaper design in the master bedroom and setting the tone for a restoration rooted in elegance and history.
