FOSSI
A Florentine palazzo shaped by art, history and one very happy coincidence.
When we proposed a Van Eyck painting as the inspiration for this 16th-century Florentine palazzo, we had no idea it was our client’s favorite work of art. From that moment, the project felt meant to be. The renovation took the apartment down to the studs and up to its ceiling beams, but art remained our compass throughout. When we found the monumental 18th-century Italian seascape that now commands the living room, its jewel tones shaped everything around it, giving the apartment warmth, richness and gravitas. The result is that this gorgeous palazzo feels dramatic yet inviting, and completely at home in its historic Florentine setting.

“We won’t ever be able to express our gratitude fully. Anything from the heart can’t really ever be summed up. But our little Palazzo in Florence exceeds every hope and dream by leaps and bounds."
