With Eiffel Tower views, windows on every side, one apartment per floor and a pin-drop-quiet courtyard, this apartment had all the qualities we love in a Paris home. What it didn’t have was a renovation in the past century. We completely reconfigured the layout, moved rooms, added bathrooms, replaced moldings, insulated throughout and installed double-paned windows. Along the way, we even discovered an extra toilet hidden behind a wall. The result is a light-filled, gracious home that makes the most of its extraordinary setting.
