This apartment had location, location, location, just steps from the famous Rue Cler. Inside, however, it was poorly configured, stripped of its original moldings and frankly a little sad. We turned the old kitchen into a second bathroom and moved the kitchen into the main room, designing it around the marble mantel and borrowing its colors for the palette. New moldings have restored the apartment’s character, a built-in desk makes every inch count, and opulent wallpapers give the bedrooms a cozy, cocoon-like feel.
