ISL
A tiny tapestry inspired the transformation of this apartment with magnificent 17th-century bones.
We loved this apartment’s soaring ceilings, gorgeous windows and monumental fireplace. Less lovely were the concrete floors, tiny kitchen, lack of light, storage and bathrooms. Our challenge was to make this beautiful Ile St. Louis apartment functional and inviting without losing touch with its 17th-century roots. Parquet de Versailles floors restored a sense of history, while antiques, contemporary pieces and layers of soft upholstery made it feel relaxed and livable. It is now bright, cheerful and wonderfully comfortable. And most importantly, the clients love it.

“You all did such an amazing job on the whole apartment and we really love and appreciate all the special touches. You truly understood what was most important to us and boy did you succeed. I’m actually blown away with many of the pieces you chose and the significant meaning they carry for us. It’s like you were somehow guided to them and we are so grateful.”
